We're only in NY for the weekend and decided to grab a Groupon before our show. We were greeted right away at the door by a friendly hostess. I remember her by the short dress, as we could almost see her Tender Steak & Sushi. It was no big deal lol Our waiter was Kevin. He kindly explained everything we could purchase with the Groupon. We each had a glass of wine, Red & Moscato. As a starter we enjoyed the Baked Crab Hand Rolls. Very delectable, and they came out to us at a reasonable time. The entrees, Rigatoni & Branzino, tasted very fresh and cooked to order. The Branzino was seasoned perfectly. I thought I would need a salt and pepper shaker. We enjoyed the Creme Brulee for dessert. They brought it out with a sparkler and sang Happy Birthday to my Husband. Overall the service was excellent. Kevin was great and attentive! Thanks

Got a Groupon for Tender which included one shared appetizer, two entrees, two glasses of house wine, and one shared dessert for $89. At first, I had low expectations since it was on Groupon but I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very classy and the food was great. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the service wasn't great and the manager was kinda mean. I highly recommend looking for the Groupon deal.

Tender is the f***ing bomb! I have been to plenty of steakhouses and sushi restaurants, and the experience at Tender is most certainly a cut above. I have been here about a dozen times now and I have noticed the significant attention to detail every single time, including the food quality, presentation, and all factors of the service. The flavors are always noticeably top-notch because the food quality is amazing. It is hard to find an item on the menu that is not delicious. I will say that they are a GREAT steakhouse and a very GOOD sushi restaurant. It's hard to be a master of multiple disciplines, but they deliver an amazing steak and a very good sushi. Get some sushi apps and then a good steak. I would recommend their rock shrimp, avocado fries, and the Tomahawk steak to share with the bearnaise or chimichurri sauce. The rock shrimp is heavily breaded and a little sweet, so you might prefer another sushi roll to share instead. If so, "The Blessing" is a killer roll. Ask the waiter if you don't trust me!

Services wasn't that great BUT their burger! Y'all that joint HIT! I'm very particular with my burgers, and this place has to be the first spot that had a burger that satisfied my tastebuds!!! Also, when can you find a burger and sushi in the same restaurant. Highly recommend

We visited Tender prior to seeing a Broadway show. I have to give high marks due to the service. They were lightening fast and very receptive to the fact we were seeing a Broadway show. This was one of the few restaurants we encountered to not be frazzled at all by the Broadway crowd. They are a well-oiled machine in their kitchen but don't sacrifice quality. We had an excellent sushi roll and filet mignon. All the items are a la carte, so plan to get a few side items. They take reservations on OpenTable which I so appreciated, because it made for a seamless night. The inside has a dark, bold color palette and is a great choice if you need a date night spot near Broadway. We would definitely return if we needed another dinner spot nearby Broadway!

I didn't expect much, but I had a great time here! We ordered penne, rib eye and baked crab handroll! Pro - the service was excellent! - the pasta was cooked perfectly with chewy texture and there was a lot of meat in my penne (always a plus) - rib eye was so perfect! The meat was perfectly cooked to medium rare + - baked crab handroll is a must - great ambience & pretty interior (great for girls who wants to take a nice photo haha) - right by time square! Con - We had such a great time and would love to try other dishes as well soon!

I really liked the decor and feel of this establishment. For lunch it was also not too packed which I alsoI liked. That said, I overall liked everything about this place but the drinks ; I would just ordered classic drinks bc all their specialty drinks were too sweet . It was special to have experienced , a few first times here; this was my first time having avocado fries which were so much better than I imagined, waygu meat, and it was first time had sushi with doritos on it!! The best sushi I have ever had; who would have ever figured that it would taste so mind blowingly delicious ( Rock and Roll Specialty Roll; It's genius )

Went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration for a good friend of mine . Restaurant is located in the Sanctuary Hotel NYC in the middle of the busiest locations in midtown Manhattan Restaurant is themed as sushi and steak however they have other options Food that I enjoyed was the chicken Parmesan and the sushi with rock shrimp on it Other people in my group enjoyed the branzino fish and the Atlantic salmon as well as the steak and sushi We had a very attentive server who came through with waiting for our selections as well as bringing out the birthday treats right on time
